Dragons Get Hard-Earned Win
|
Dayton Dragons pitcher Chris Peterson was in fine form, leading his team past the Great Lakes Loons, 2-1. Bryant Hays notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-0. With the win, Dayton boosts its record to 9-2.
Jake Stewart came through with a big-time hit for Dayton. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Chris is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Dayton manager Jorge Rosado.
