River Bandits Win at Clinton, 6-4
|
Quad Cities took on Clinton in front of a lively crowd.
Clinton right fielder John Ramirez had a good game, even if his team did not. The LumberKings dropped a 6-4 decision to Quad Cities at Ashford University Field. Ramirez went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Greg Larson, the winning pitcher, is now 2-1. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 1.
Matt Widman had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for Quad Cities. With the bases loaded and the River Bandits leading 5-4, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"Winning never gets old," said Widman.
With the win, Quad Cities improves its record to 7-4.
