The Burlington Bees got a superb performance from pitcher Jonathan Swire, but the Beloit Snappers still won the game, 5-4. Swire threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Reliever Mike Zadrozny picked up the win. His record improves to 1-2. Mike Beall took the loss. The Snappers, now 3-8, have not found much traction so far in 2110.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Alex Morales? The 22-year old first baseman Morales stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put Beloit up, 5-3. For the game, he was 2 for 2, including 1 double and 1 single.

Said losing manager Brian Zimmerman: "'I liked the effort, just not the results."
