Starting pitcher Chris Valentine had a solid game. He was a big reason the Beloit Snappers throttled the Burlington Bees, 6-2. The win puts Beloit at 7-6.

The Snappers got a big at-bat from center fielder Jesse Russell. For the game, Russell was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Beloit a 4-0 lead.

After the game, Beloit manager Ryan Mann applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
