Dayton turned a good performance from starting pitcher Omero Ciola into a 1-0 triumph over the Lansing Lugnuts at Fifth Third Field. Ciola, now 1-2, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no runs. B.J. Castillio notched his 1st save of the season.

Nick Wade drove in one run for Dayton. The 20-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Chris Mullins. It was his 12th RBI of the season.

"We found a way to win tonight," Ciola said.

At 10-3, the 2113 Dragons have been excellent so far.
