River Bandits Win Thriller, 2-1
|
The Peoria Chiefs wasted an impressive 7.1-inning effort from starter Ryan Perez, falling, 2-1, to the Quad Cities River Bandits at Modern Woodmen Park. The setback makes the Chiefs 6-9.
The River Bandits got a clutch hit from first baseman Fred Pitts. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the River Bandits.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Tommy Davenport.
