The game between Beloit and Clinton is in the books, despite a little rain.

Beloit starter Monte Sanz kept the Clinton hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 9-1. Sanz got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs.

Tommy Rancourt had a big grand slam home run for the Snappers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Beloit leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from former first round draft pick Josh McCurley and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Snappers ahead, 5-0.

"They took it to us," said Clinton manager Jose Ursua.

With the win, Beloit goes to 4-12.
