Loss to Whitecaps Extends Lake County Losing Streak
West Michigan right-hander Jesus Rayas pitched his team to victory over the Lake County Captains at Fifth Third Ballpark. The final score was 4-1. Craig Wells collected save number 1. With the win, West Michigan goes to 7-11.

B.J. McRitchie had a big run-scoring double for the Whitecaps in the bottom of the third inning. With West Michigan leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Matt Rolin and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Whitecaps ahead, 2-0.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Rayas.
