The Fort Wayne TinCaps topped the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 4-3, in Midwest League action at Bowling Green Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Fort Wayne pitcher and La Romana, Dominican Republic, native Jorge Munoz. With the loss, Bowling Green falls to 8-11.

Had Jimmy Robbins not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Robbins hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the TinCaps.

TinCaps manager Michael Chiquito raved about Munoz after the game. "I thought Jorge was 'lights out.'"
