Yard Goats Take Down Mets, 6-4
The Hartford Yard Goats downed the Binghamton Mets, 6-4, in 10 innings at NYSEG Stadium. Mike Primeaux led the way, going 2-for-4 for Hartford. Hartford reliever Carlos Mendoza picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. David Fewell was tagged with the loss. Hartford sits at 9-7 in the early going.

Hartford used the timely hitting of Joaquin Figueroa to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Yard Goats on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Primeaux.
