Quad Cities Drops Burlington in Pitchers' Duel
In a tight game between the Quad Cities River Bandits and the Burlington Bees, pitcher Jake Gehrmann was terrific on the mound. The Quad Cities right-hander helped his team to the 1-0 win. Reliever Andy Landry picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Carlos Fernandez, who is tied for 7th in the MID in quality starts with 4, took the loss. Mike Romano notched his 5th save of the season.

Quad Cities took a 1-0 lead on Kyle Rieder's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Rieder hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Burlington pitcher Carlos Fernandez visibly frustrated.

"We found a way to win tonight," Gehrmann said.

For the Bees, the loss makes their record 7-15.
