Kernels Slip Past Burlington, 4-3
|
The Cedar Rapids Kernels finished things off in style.
Cedar Rapids pitcher Danny Clark had a large part in his team beating the Burlington Bees, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Cedar Rapids is flying high at 15-7.
John Baldwin was the walk-off hero for Cedar Rapids. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Kernels catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Baldwin.
