The West Michigan Whitecaps clobbered the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 12-2, at Neuroscience Feild at Fox Cities Stadium. West Michigan shortstop Gary Reeves led the onslaught. He was 2-5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. The win gives the Whitecaps a record of 13-14.

With West Michigan leading 6-2 in the top of the seventh, Reeves came up to bat against Wisconsin pitcher Jordan Fulton. Reeves hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Whitecaps on top, 10-2.

"We didn't help ourselves, it's as simple as that," said losing manager Ryan Mills.
