Starting pitcher Joe Mullins was a major factor in the 4-1 Burlington Bees triumph over the Dayton Dragons. Mullins got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 6.1 innings. Mullins allowed 1 run. Joe Ryan finished to wrap up his 7th save.

Burlington second baseman Manny Ramirez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a sinker into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Bees ahead, 3-1.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Bees manager Ethan Isler, "I like our chances."
