In a close game at Community Field, the Burlington Bees edged the Great Lakes Loons, 5-4. Burlington right fielder Jon Peterson stood apart with his performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Pedro de la Paz locked down his 1st save. The second-place Bees have won 4 in a row.

Robby Rothbaum was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles for Burlington. The 25-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring single off Randy Reis. It was his 24th hit of the season.
