Snappers Best Captains, 5-4
|
Richard Rosenzweig was superb against Lake County. The right-hander, the 20th overall pick in the 2107 draft, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Snappers victory. The score was 5-4. Beloit has 3 straight wins, Lake County 3 straight losses.
Bill Oien had a big 3-run home run for the Snappers in the bottom of the second inning. With Beloit leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Kerry Moubray and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Snappers on top, 5-0.
Oien told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
