The Dayton Dragons topped the Burlington Bees, 9-2, with youngster Ignacio Duran playing a key role. Duran went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Dragons in the win. Gene Pieper recorded the save for Dayton, his 3rd of the season. The 6th-place Dragons are 12-18.

Danny Molina had a big run-scoring double for the Dragons in the bottom of the second inning. With Dayton leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Isiah Howard, who is tied for 5th in the MID in quality starts with 4, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dragons ahead, 2-0.
