West Michigan Gets 2-1 Win
|
In a tight affair between the West Michigan Whitecaps and the Beloit Snappers, pitcher Ricky Castro was in the zone. The West Michigan right-hander helped his team win the game, 2-1. West Michigan now owns a record of 22-12.
West Michigan used a timely hit from Chad Heatherly to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Whitecaps ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
"Ricky was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said West Michigan manager Matt Young.
