Bees Edge River Bandits, 2-1
|
The Quad Cities River Bandits wasted an inspired, 6-inning effort from starter Jody Pascoe, falling, 2-1, to the Burlington Bees in 10 innings at Community Field. The Bees now have a record of 19-20 with the win over Quad Cities.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Burlington first baseman Casey Kish, facing Rich Liverman, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Bees the 2-1 win.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Kish said.
