Captains, Parham Pin Bad Loss on Cubs
The Lake County Captains used an offensive barrage to beat the South Bend Cubs, 10-2, at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium. Jay Parham led the way, going 3-for-3 for Lake County. Ben Veillette was the winner. He's now 3-2. The loser was 22-year old left-handed pitcher Johnny Morell. The win makes Lake County 23-16.

Early in the game, Parham had a 2-run home run for Lake County. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Captains on top, 2-0.

"I had some good swings out there," said Parham.
