Hot Rods Lose, 5-2, at Fifth Third Ballpark
The Bowling Green Hot Rods and West Michigan Whitecaps delighted fans at Fifth Third Ballpark.

Behind an impressive start by Tim Wood, West Michigan beat Bowling Green, 5-2. Ryan Cardone finished the game for West Michigan and earned his 2nd save.

Chris Grise hit a 2-run triple off Sam Winston in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Whitecaps in front, 4-2. Grise had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.

"Whenever I help the team," said Grise, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."

West Michigan now sits at 18-23, while Bowling Green falls to 20-22.
