The Great Lakes Loons extended their winning streak.

Great Lakes used a superb performance from starting pitcher Humberto Rivera to down the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 19-0. The Loons, at 30-14, lead by one game in their division.

The Loons liked what they saw from Rivera. The 19-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Hot Rods to no runs on 3 hits over 8.1 innings, and striking out 8.

"Humberto made some big pitches when he needed to," said Loons manager Ivan Cruz.
