LumberKings Rally Late to Nip Kernels
The Clinton LumberKings beat the Cedar Rapids Kernels, 7-6, in part because of right fielder Matt Miller. He went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. Clinton reliever Danny Ortiz picked up the win to move to 2-1. David Pico suffered the loss. The 5th-place LumberKings go to 17-28.

Jim Unknown was the walk-off hero for Clinton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the LumberKings shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Matt showed up tonight," said Clinton manager Mitchell Heller.
