Extra frames were needed to settle this game between the Bowling Green Hot Rods and Great Lakes Loons.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods defeated the Great Lakes Loons in 11 innings, 8-4, in part because of catcher Elliott Jones. Jones went 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Hot Rods. Bowling Green reliever Jonathan Quimby got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Charlie King was tagged with the loss.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Jones delivered big-time for Bowling Green, stroking a dramatic grand slam home run off Charlie King. The game-changing hit put the Hot Rods on top, 8-4.

"We didn't let this one get away," said Jones.

The Hot Rods, at 24-21, sit in 4th place in the Eastern Division.
