Peoria Beats Burlington, Goes to 31-15
|
Peoria starter Chris Rapley kept the Burlington hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 10-2. Peoria is now 31-15, while Burlington is 22-24.
In the bottom of the 3rd, Peoria took the lead on a 2-run single by Josh Bredeson. At the time, the Chiefs were trailing 1-0, but Bredeson's hit with two outs against Burlington pitcher Chris Skinner put them in front, 2-1.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Rapley.
