Sanchez drives in 6 runs to Power Dragons Offense
Dayton took on West Michigan in front of a lively crowd.

The Dayton Dragons defeated the West Michigan Whitecaps, 10-8. Doing his part was right fielder Joaquin Sanchez, who went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Dayton reliever Bennie Hanson picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Bobby Chase took the loss.

With Dayton trailing 8-7 in the top of the ninth, Sanchez hit a fastball from Bobby Chase for a bases-clearing double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 10-8.

Sanchez told the Dayton Observer: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."

At 22-24, Dayton is in 5th place in the Eastern Division.
