Timber Rattlers Knock Off Snappers, 7-5
|
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers beat the Beloit Snappers by a score of 7-5. Wisconsin left fielder Isaiah Garrett deserved the lion's share of the credit. Garrett went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Timber Rattlers. Wisconsin pitcher Andy McDougall earned the win, hiking his record to 3-2. John Grover suffered the loss. Wisconsin, now 34-12, holds down first place in the Western Division.
Jeremy Zanes, who is tied for 3rd in the MID in RBI with 31, aided the Wisconsin cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3 with a double and was hit 2 times.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Wisconsin manager Geghetsik Kazaryan.
