Timber Rattlers Slap 3-1 Loss on Clinton
|
In a tight tilt between Wisconsin and Clinton, pitcher Jay Garza was a key contributor. The left-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 3-1 Timber Rattlers win. Bobby Pekala earned the save, his 8th. The 'W' lifts Wisconsin's record to 35-13.
Eric Dennis hit a run-scoring double off Rick Keller in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Timber Rattlers in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Dennis had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"Tough loss," said Clinton manager Jose Ursua. "But we'll learn from it."
