River Bandits Get 5-1 Win Versus Burlington
The Quad Cities River Bandits beat the Burlington Bees, 5-1, at Modern Woodmen Park. Starting pitcher Greg Larson was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Ben Montgomery got credit for the save for Quad Cities. It was his 10th of the year. With the win, the River Bandits improved to 34-17.

In the bottom of the fifth, Cody Shuman delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Quad Cities third baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the River Bandits in front, 5-1.

Shuman said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
