Wisconsin Absorbs 3-2 Loss to Burlington
The bats were silent much of the day at Community Field. But 21-year old third baseman Eddie Saldana produced just enough offense to carry the Bees past the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 3-2. Saldana was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. David Muacho earned the win to go to 2-2. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. Mike James got the save, the 7th for him this season.

Burlington second baseman Bobby Canales helped the Bees go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Canales hit a run-scoring single off Wisconsin pitcher Andy Dale.

Afterward, Bees manager Brian Zimmerman was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."

The Bees, at 25-27, sit in 5th place in the Western Division.
