Morton Terrific in 7-1 Dayton Triumph

Scott Morton pitched a gem to lead Dayton to victory over the West Michigan Whitecaps, 7-1. Their 23-31 record puts the Dragons 7th in the Eastern Division.
Morton, who is tied for 8th in the MID in strikeouts with 68, pitched a complete game for Dayton. Morton surrendered 5 hits over 9 innings and struck out 7. With the win, he moves to 5-4 on the season.
"Scott was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Dayton manager Jorge Rosado.
