Dragons Pull Off Thrilling 8-5 Win in Extras
Bowling Green center fielder David Rivera was sensational. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Dayton beat the Hot Rods, 8-5. Pete Eckstrom earned the save for Dayton, his 1st. With the win, Dayton has a record of 24-30. Bowling Green falls to 30-24.

Dayton used a timely hit from Scott Guinan to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 13th inning to put the Dragons ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Guinan.
