The Quad Cities River Bandits picked up a win at Modern Woodmen Park, downing the Burlington Bees, 5-4. On the mound for Quad Cities was right-hander Chris Kleinhesselink, who played a pivotal role in the win. The 5th-place River Bandits lifted their record to 24-30.

Quad Cities second baseman Casimir Lewczak contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 64th hit of the season and put the River Bandits ahead, 5-2.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Lewczak told the Quad Cities Observer.
