The Fort Wayne TinCaps eked out a 3-2 win versus the Dayton Dragons at Fifth Third Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Israel Elizarraras. He was terrific. The win was credited to Matt Tilghman in relief. His record improves to 2-5. James Nolan took the loss. Jose Oliva recorded the save, his 2nd.

Tucker Canup provided a timely hit. The Fort Wayne left fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the TinCaps on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

Elizarraras said his team "played with determination."

The win makes Fort Wayne 26-30.
