Hot Rods Get Clutch Win Versus Lansing
|
In a low-scoring game between the Bowling Green Hot Rods and the Lansing Lugnuts, pitcher Jon Thornhill was masterful on the mound. The Bowling Green left-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. The Hot Rods go to 18-39 with the win.
Fernando Garcia was the walk-off hero for Bowling Green. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hot Rods left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Nice to get this one," said Garcia. "Wins have been hard to come by."
