The Fort Wayne TinCaps faced a tough opponent in Lake County pitcher Ben Veillette, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Classic Park by a final score of 3-0 in 10 innings. Veillette went 8 innings and allowed no runs. The second-place Captains now sit at 35-23.

Fort Wayne used a timely hit from Diego Rangel to get the win. The center fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the tenth inning to put the TinCaps ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.

"We didn't let this one get away," said Rangel.
