Timber Rattlers Bag 5-3 Win
|
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers bumped off the Quad Cities River Bandits, 5-3, at Neuroscience Feild at Fox Cities Stadium. Danny Gutierrez hit 1 single and 1 double. He also had 1 RBI. The 5th-place Timber Rattlers now have a win-loss record of 28-31.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Ron van Til came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Quad Cities pitcher Rich Liverman, he hit a 2-2 sinker for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Wisconsin on top, 5-3.
