River Bandits Rally For Late Win Over Cougars
Quad Cities pitcher Luis Castillo did his part in helping his team defeat the Kane County Cougars, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Elias Placencia picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-1. Dan Rainwater, who is tied for 3rd in the MID in saves with 12, was tagged with the loss. The River Bandits are now 34-24, while the Cougars fall to 33-26.

Jeff Reed aided the Quad Cities cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.

"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Castillo.
