Aguirre Swings Cubs to 10-7 Win
The South Bend Cubs stopped the West Michigan Whitecaps, 10-7, at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium. The Cubs got a big game from Danny Aguirre, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. South Bend is now 29-31, West Michigan 34-26.

Mike McGinley helped out the South Bend cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 1-3 with a walk, while scoring 2.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said West Michigan manager Noah Fourie. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
