Baylis slugs 2 home runs as Hot Rods Squeeze Past Lansing
The Bowling Green Hot Rods beat the Lansing Lugnuts, 5-4, at Cooley Law School Stadium. Tim Baylis was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The 24-year old left fielder was a menace to Lansing all day. The winner was Bowling Green reliever Pete Joyce, now 1-3. The loser was Vince Luft. Erik Sandoval closed the door for Bowling Green, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

Baylis had a consequential at-bat in the top of the third for the Hot Rods. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Bowling Green trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.

"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Baylis told the Bowling Green Chronicle.

With the win, Bowling Green goes to 19-41, while the Lugnuts fall to 33-27.
