Razor-Sharp Neri Blanks Quad Cities
|
Jorge Neri was in a mood to talk following the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers contest against the Quad Cities River Bandits, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the River Bandits, 1-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Neri said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Quad Cities on a 3-hitter, allowing 2 walks and racking up 7 strikeouts.
This season, Neri has a 11-2 record with a 1.91 ERA in 13 starts.
