LumberKings Shut Out Cougars, 5-0
|
Clinton LumberKings starter Salvador Moya was in fine form against the Kane County Cougars at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark, leading his team to a win, 5-0. At 23-38, the LumberKings claim 7th place in the Western Division.
John Ramirez, the 24-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ramirez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Clinton up, 2-0.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Ramirez. "And not try to do too much."
