The Burlington Bees stymied the Beloit Snappers, 6-2, at Harry C. Pohlman Field. Jake Bradley had a good day at the plate. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Burlington. Picking up his 7th save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Ernie Anderson. Burlington is sitting pretty at 43-19.

The Bees took the lead, 4-2, in the top of the sixth inning. Facing Beloit hurler Sam Roy with two outs, Brad Schmitt hit a run-scoring single.

In comments to the Burlington Daily, Schmitt admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
