Cooley Law School Stadium hosted a real pitchers' duel.

The Great Lakes Loons had to overcome a good performance from Lansing pitcher Josh Montgomery to claim a 2-1 win at Cooley Law School Stadium. Montgomery went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. Kevin Rivas earned the save for Great Lakes, his 19th of the year.

Great Lakes took a 1-0 lead on Felipe Delgado's 8th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Lansing pitcher Aaron Crum in the top of the eighth.

"We've got a great group of guys," Delgado said, "and we're having fun right now."

The Loons have an impressive 40-23 record.
