Beatty Ices Clinton Offense
|
Kane County Cougars starter Bill Beatty was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Clinton LumberKings, 3-0. The Cougars go to 37-27, putting them second in the Western Division.
Beatty was in the zone all game. He frustrated Clinton hitters while giving the Cougars 7.1 innings of quality work. Beatty threw 98 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 9 punchouts.
"Bill was able to execute his pitches," said Kane County manager Mike Haskin. "Simple as that."
