The Kane County Cougars and starting pitcher Victor Huet stifled the Burlington offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at Community Field. The Cougars now have a record of 38-27 with the win over Burlington.

Thomas Montgomery, the 26-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Montgomery contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Kane County up, 1-0.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Ethan Isler.
