Bowling Green Beats Dayton in 10-Inning Thriller
Behind a fine performance from Jeff Sheeley, the Bowling Green Hot Rods knocked off the Dayton Dragons in 10 innings, 9-5. Sheeley went 2-2 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Hot Rods. Dave Ralph, 5-6, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. The 7th-place Hot Rods lifted their record to 30-36.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Sheeley hit a fastball from Rocco Barry for a grand slam home run. The Hot Rods, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Sheeley said.
