The Peoria Chiefs banked on Gary Eshleman and he turned in a masterful performance. The left-hander kept the Wisconsin hitters in check. The final score was 2-1, Chiefs, in 10 innings. The first-place Chiefs have won 5 consecutive games.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Peoria third baseman Ben Murphy, facing Izzy Dominguez, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Chiefs the 2-1 win.

"Gary throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Peoria manager Tommy Davenport.
