The Fort Wayne TinCaps defeated the Great Lakes Loons, 6-1, in Midwest League action at Parkview Field. Fort Wayne pitcher Jon Allman had a standout performance. Fort Wayne has now won 4 games in a row.

The TinCaps got a big at-bat from right fielder Jim Turner. For the game, Turner went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Fort Wayne a 4-0 lead.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Allman. "It sure beats the alternative."
