Burlington got a terrific performance from pitcher Antonio Vega, but it wasn't enough to beat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Wisconsin won the Community Field contest, 1-0. Vega threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The Timber Rattlers now have a record of 35-36 with the win over Burlington.

Dan Simonds had a direct impact on the outcome. Simonds contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning to put Wisconsin up, 1-0.

"It was a good effort all around," said Simonds.
