Quad Cities Loses Again
|
The Cedar Rapids Kernels used the hitting of center fielder John Baker to subdue the Quad Cities River Bandits, 8-5. For the game, Baker was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. The slumping River Bandits have lost 9 straight.
Baker had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Kernels went on to win.
"This losing is getting old," said Quad Cities manager Rich Mejia.
